Full payment is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
All bookings are non-transferable.
For sole hire bookings a £200 refundable deposit is required with the final balance, this will be refunded after your stay so long as no damage or violation of our Licencing agreements have taken place.
Room keys and entry fobs must be returned on departure a £20 per item charge will be applied per missing item.
We provide bed linen and towels. If you require any extra linen / towels during your stay please ask a member of staff, taking extra linen without permission may carry an additional charge.
Booking for Sole Hire
A 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking. We ask that the balance is paid no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Late payment: if you fail to make your final payment on time a £50 charge per day will be added starting 5 weeks before your arrival date up to a max of £200, if the remaining balance plus any charges are still not met after this time your reservation will be cancelled. 100% of the booking cost is non-refundable if notice of cancellation is given less than 6 weeks prior to arrival. All quoted prices include VAT at 20%.
All sole hire bookings are asked to supply a copy of their guest list and bedroom plan prior to arrival.
Bed linen, tea towels, bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, toilet roll.
Bath towels are not included in sole hire bookings.
Sole Hire groups must pay for any damage occurred during their stay. Failure to comply with the terms of
our licencing agreement may result in a £250 charge which is payable before departure.
Entry cards for the lodge must be returned on departure, charges apply for missing cards.
The WGL can accommodate a maximum 40 guests over 10 bedrooms, for Schools this number is less due to needing one bed per person - please contact us for more details.
During a sole hire booking we guarantee not to sell other rooms for the duration of the booking to anyone else. The bedrooms are configured in a set way and the manager will be able to send you details. We will always try to work with guests to accommodate their preferred configuration within the constraints of the space and our licence.
Please note that private living accommodation for the Manager and family is attached to the Lodge.
Throughout the duration of your stay you are responsible for the security of the building and ensuring all members of your group adhere to these Terms and Conditions, which include the relevant parts of our Premises Licence.
Check-in is between 16:00 and 20:00 (applies to lead guest only) Late check-in may be possible to arrange with prior notice, additional charge applies.
Check-out – Weekday groups should check out from bedrooms by 1000 hrs, the lodge should be completely vacated by 12 midday.
Weekend Sole hire – Check out on Sunday is 12 midday, later check out may be possible by prior arrangement at an additional cost, occasionally weekday check out times may apply but you will be notified if this is the case.
The lodge must be left reasonable clean and tidy with all beds stripped of the pillowcase, duvet cover and sheet, self-catering kitchen must be cleaned down with dishwasher emptied and all items put away.
We ask that all bills for extras incurred during the stay are settled on departure.
There is limited disabled access. Please speak to our manager for details.
Our premises are licensed for alcohol and entertainment.
Sole hire groups may bring their own alcohol but it is a condition of our Premises License and the Licensing Guidelines that drunk and disorderly behavior cannot be tolerated.
Alcohol may not be taken upstairs. A £50 charge will be made for cleaning spilt alcohol anywhere upstairs.
It is managers discretion as to whether dogs are permitted during your stay, this can also incur additional charges and terms apply.
Guests are not permitted to bring electrical kitchen appliances that do not carry an up to date PAT testing certificate. Any group found doing so will be asked to leave.
Please take extra care around the wood burner.
The Premises and Grounds
We ask that Sole Hire groups leave the building reasonably clean and tidy with all furniture put back into the same position as on arrival. Extra information on moving furniture and decorating the premises can be obtained from the Manager, a vacuum cleaner is provided and excess dirt should be cleaned before departure.

Self-catering residents are asked to leave the self-catering kitchen clean and tidy before departure and ensure that all crockery, cutlery and utensils are cleaned and put away. A charge may apply for extra cleaning if this is not done.
If specialist cleaning of excessive soiling of the premises (vomiting etc) is required, a charge of £100 will be levied.
Children must be supervised at all times. Please do not leave children to play unattended.
Guests are not permitted to enter the pond area under any circumstances. Guest found climbing over fences or on the roof will be asked to leave immediately.
The Wild Goose Lodge is a non-smoking building. If you wish to smoke please use the designated smoking areas and ashtrays provided.
Drugs and other illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Any drug use will result in the party being asked to leave and the police informed.
As we are in a residential area, it is a strict condition of our Premises License that groups are not permitted to use the gardens after 22:00 hrs.
Excessive noise that can cause a nuisance to our neighbours is also not permitted after 11pm – if extra guests join you in the lodge during the day they must be off site by 11pm.
Please keep ball games in the garden. Ball games are not permitted in the carpark.
We ask that breakages are reported to a member of staff.
Camping and caravans are not permitted but guests can book into the Tudor Caravan park down the road and join your group in the lodge, so long as the total number on site does not exceed 50.
Lead guests must check in at reception on arrival.
No naked flames or candles are permitted.
Fires are prohibited.
Fireworks are prohibited.
Please adequately protect furniture and floors when carrying our children’s arts and crafts.
Please be mindful of noise and respectful to local residents, property and staff.
It is a strict condition of our Premises License that amplified sound is not permitted anywhere before 10:00am or after 11:00pm.
Again it is a strict condition of our Premises Licence that regulated entertainment involving amplified music or speech shall take place in any areas of the premises except the dining hall.
Music is not permitted in the Garden at any time of day.
Our premises License requires that, while musical entertainment is taking place, all external windows and doors must be closed after 10pm to ensure sound cannot be heard outside.
Wild Goose Lodge reserve the right, at its discretion, to
terminate, without notice, an individuals stay where deemed necessary through
unacceptable behavior or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or
offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may
constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be
settled, no refunds will be made
