Bird Watching and family fun:
On the doorstep of Slimbridge Wetland Centre from its 13 hides, you can spot birds from all over the world including hobby, kingfishers, redshank, herons and flamingoes. The nature reserve is home to brown hares, otters, grass snakes, dragonflies and wild orchids. Walks Food and Drink:
Beautiful footpaths surround the Wild Goose Lodge, across fields, through woods, beside canals and rivers, offering ample opportunity for walking in the Slimbridge area. You’ll find cosy country pubs along the way, such as the Berkeley Arms in Purton, and Frampton-on-Severn’s Bell Inn and Three Horseshoes as well as our local Tudor Arms and the Black Shed.

Water sports and adventure:
If you fancy getting out on the water, a little off road or some group combat fun the below links can offer Paddleboarding, Canoe and kayak hire, mountain bike hire, paintabll, airsoft, quad biking, archery, bubble footal and more. Pre-bookings is recommended.

Historic Berkeley Castle is open from April to October each year, with its beautiful gardens and tropical butterfly house. A farmers’ market takes place every Saturday in Stroud, where you can discover a wide selection of local produce. The vibrant neighbouring cities of Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester, Bath and Bristol, are all within easy reach.
